Overview

Rush Lake is one of the highest alpine lakes globally, situated near the Rush Pari Peak, at an altitude of approximately 4,694 meters (15,400 feet) above sea level. It’s a stunning destination for trekkers and nature enthusiasts, offering panoramic views of surrounding snow-capped peaks, including Spantik (Golden Peak) and Miar Peak. The trek to Rush Lake is challenging but rewarding, passing through picturesque valleys, lush meadows, and rugged terrain. Golden Peak, locally known as Spantik, is a majestic mountain located in the Nagar Valley of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Standing at an elevation of 7,027 meters (23,054 feet), it is one of the most beautiful peaks in the Karakoram Range. The name “Spantik” means “Golden Peak” in the local language, which aptly describes the mountain’s appearance when it is bathed in the golden light of sunrise or sunset.
