Overview
The Batura Sar is a significant mountain massif located in the Karakoram range of the Gilgit-Baltistan region in Pakistan. It comprises several peaks, with Batura I being the highest, standing at an elevation of 7,795 meters (25,574 feet) above sea level. The Batura Sar is renowned for being one of the longest mountain ranges in the world, stretching over 56 kilometers (35 miles) from end to end. The Batura Glacier, one of the largest and longest glaciers outside the polar regions, lies on the northern slopes of the Batura Sar. It’s approximately 58 kilometers (36 miles) long and covers an area of around 290 square kilometers (110 square miles).
