Overview
Summer in the north is mild and pleasant, the best time for tourism and outdoor activities, from mid-May to early September, with moderate temperatures, clear skies and longer days. This 15-day journey combines three worlds in one trip: the heritage of Islamabad and Taxila, the valleys of Chitral and the Kalash with their unique culture and festivals, and the forts, lakes and passes of Hunza, ending with a short flight back over the mountains.

Tour Plan
Arrival in Islamabad and transfer to hotel.
Taxila Museum and archaeological sites, Takht-i-Bahi ancient Buddhist monastery. Stay at Swat Valley.
Drive to Chitral through Lowari Top and Tunnel.
Chitral Museum, Shahi Mosque, Ayun Valley and exploring local areas.
Tour to Kalash: Bomboret valley and Birir valley. Stay in Kalash valley.
Arrangement of a local festival, traditional food and dinner party.
Drive to Garam Chasma (hot springs area), excursion day.
Drive to Booni, Mastuj and Shandur Pass. Overnight in Phander Valley.
Phander Valley visit and Phander lake, then drive to Gilgit/Hunza.
Altit Fort, Baltit Fort, UNESCO-awarded Ganish village and Duiker viewpoint.
Attabad Lake, Passu cones, Borith lake and glacier viewpoint. Overnight in Passu village.
Khunjerab pass visit. Overnight in Hunza.
Flight from Gilgit to Islamabad.
Faisal Mosque, Pakistan Monument, local market visit and half rest day.
Flight back home.
