Summer in Gilgit-Baltistan is mild and pleasant, the most popular time for tourism and outdoor activities. The season runs from mid-May to early September, with moderate temperatures of 20°C to 30°C, clear skies, longer days, melting snow, and local festivals and events. It is the perfect time to enjoy the natural beauty and cultural heritage of this breathtaking mountainous region, and this 15-day journey covers Skardu, Khaplu, Shigar, Hunza, Naltar and Gilgit at the very best of the season.

Tour Plan
Arrival in Islamabad and transfer to hotel.
Visit to Taxila Museum, archaeological sites and Takht-i-Bahi ancient Buddhist monastery.
Flight to Skardu Valley and exploring Skardu Valley.
Full day exploring Khaplu valley, its fort and historical sites.
Shigar Valley, Sadpara resort and lake, Sarfranga cold desert and Upper Kachura lake.
Visit to the junction of three mountain ranges and Rakaposhi viewpoint.
Baltit Fort, Altit Fort, UNESCO-awarded Ganish historical site and Duiker valley viewpoint.
Attabad Lake, Hussaini suspension bridge, Passu cones and glacier view.
Khunjerab pass visit (Pak-China border).
Visit to Hoper valley, glacier viewpoint and valley top visit.
Naltar Valley visit, full day, and drive back to Gilgit.
Kargah Buddha visit in Gilgit, then drive to Skardu Valley.
Flight from Skardu to Islamabad, or by road in case of flight cancellation.
